However, there is too much false information being passed around in the non-native community surrounding peyote meetings. The first thing people need to know about the Native American connection to peyote is that the plant is sacred medicine ingested as a sacrament during healing ceremonies of the Native American Church. Music really does soothe the savage beast. At Christmas, one needs to play Christian Christmas songs. The secular ones often bring sadness. Praise is worship. And one cannot be sad when worshipping. So, play those beautiful hymns and sing along. Your spirit will rise with the music.
